Cheltenham, Cirencester & Tewkesbury Citizens Advice Bureau

Volunteering, Work Experience, Training and Advising at the CAB

Trustee Board

The CAB service is part of the local community and its Trustee Board reflects this.    If you live or work within the Cheltenham, Cirencester & Tewkesbury Bureau area of interest and have become a member of the CAB (Membership is free) then you are eligible to stand for election.

As a trustee you will have a strategic responsibility for the development of the Bureau.   You will help plan how it meets the needs of the communities it serves and where it gets the resources from to do this.   You may be asked to represent the Bureau on different committees or to take special responsibility for a particular area of the Trustee Boards work.

The Trustees are the unsung heroes, they do not have the glamour of the front line advice workers but without them there would be no service as it is they who keep the show on the road.

If this is an area where you have expertise and you would be prepared to offer your time (approx. 2 hours per month) then do please contact us.
